PROVIDENCE – The Friar bench continues to shrink.

While big man Nate Watson remains sidelined with a knee injury, the team also played without starting guard A.J. Reeves and freshman forward Greg Gantt against Saint Peter’s. Reeves developed back spasms in the last few days and coach Ed Cooley felt it would be best to sit him out. Gantt’s absence could last longer. He left the team with an undisclosed family issue back in North Carolina.

“Greg will be away for awhile dealing with a family matter. We want to support him and hopefully we can get him back sooner than later.
