Providence senior Alpha Diallo was named 2nd Team All Big East by the league’s head coaches, the Big East Conference announced on Sunday. This is Diallo’s second straight year on the All Big East team.
Diallo averaged 14.1 points and 7.8 rebounds on the season. He was fifth in the league in rebounds, fourth in steals, ninth in blocked shots, and third in offensive rebounds.
He kicked off his senior season with three straight double doubles, grabbing 34 rebounds in the season’s first three games. Diallo struggled at times with his decision making and shot selection, but scored in double figures in eight of PC’s last nine games.
