The former Arsenal star believes a Switzerland international could soon be struggling to secure a starting berth as others come into contention
Granit Xhaka has seen his role at Arsenal questioned by Ray Parlour, with the Switzerland international considered to “give the ball away too much” and lack mobility.
Unai Emery is looking to make the Gunners tougher to break down, with a soft centre being exposed again at the start of a 2018-19 campaign which has seen five goals conceded in two games.
Xhaka is intended to be a shield in front of the back four, while also providing a link between defence and attack.
