Wrexham's Hollywood owner Rob McElhenney tells Chelsea the League Two newboys are still plotting their route to the Premier League

Rob McElhenney has outlined Wrexham's hope to reach the Premier League in the next five years.

McElhenney and fellow Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds co-own the historic Welsh side and led them to promotion from the fifth-tier National League last season.

Phil Parkinson's side will play in League Two in the upcoming season, but McElhenney and Co are clearly aiming higher.

Wrexham lost 5-0 against top-flight giants Chelsea in a pre-season friendly in America in the early hours of Thursday morning.

And after the resounding defeat, McElhenney thanked the Blues for the fixture and revealed how the Red Dragons are plotting their route to the top of English football.
