Wolves face wait to appoint former Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui as the Spaniard attends to a family matter... with any announcement unlikely to take place until later in the week

Wolves may have to wait a little longer to make Julen Lopetegui their new manager as the Spaniard attends to a family matter in his homeland.

The former Spain and Real Madrid boss, who was sacked by Sevilla last week, is the clear front-runner to take the reins at Molineux following Bruno Lage’s departure on October 2.

Sportsmail understands Lopetegui is interested in moving to the Premier League but any appointment is unlikely to take place until later in the week, with Lopetegui still in Spain.
