Wish you weren't here! As football resumes, foreign Premier League players' glamorous partners soak up the sun abroad rather than returning to lockdown Britain - while UK WAGs have to make do with their gardens

The Premier League kicks off again tonight after a three month hiatus as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic - but many stars from overseas will be without the support of their other halves.

Second place Manchester City will take on Arsenal at home, while Aston Villa is fighting to escape relegation in their match against seventh place Sheffield United.

While the stadiums will be empty of fans, glamorous WAGs of foreign-born players have also opted to stay away and soak up the sun abroad rather than return to the locked-down UK.

Meanwhile the partners of British players have been wistfully sharing snaps of holidays gone by, admitting they're dreaming of the time they can escape to an exotic paradise once again.
