West Ham turn to former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, as they look to move on in their centre back search after talks over a deal for Harry Maguire stalled

West Ham are exploring a deal for former Arsenal centre back Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The Stuttgart defender has also had interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolves and Nottingham Forest this summer but is attracted by the prospect of a return to London under David Moyes.

West Ham have turned to the 25-year-old Greece international after talks for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire stalled.

West Ham have also been offered Odilon Koussonou and Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen as they work through options but Mavropanos has Premier League experience.

Moyes had not given up on Maguire but recognises the need to move on with time in the window running down.
