'We're really close... it is devastating': Emiliano Martinez vows to fill the Bernd Leno void for Arsenal after making his first Premier League appearance in THREE YEARS when the German went off injured at Brighton

Emiliano Martinez insists he will 'try to do a good job' in Bernd Leno's absence after the Arsenal goalkeeper's cruel injury on Saturday against Brighton.

Gunners No 1 Leno was replaced in the first half after colliding with Brighton striker Neal Maupay and collapsing to the floor, following an awkward landing, and left the pitch on a stretcher.

Whilst Leno's diagnosis has not yet been confirmed, Martinez - who made his first Premier League appearance in three years when he replaced the stricken German - is now expected to feature heavily during the rest of the 2019-20 season.
