Liverpool have created something of an unstoppable juggernaut on the way to securing their first Premier League title.

They can still break Manchester City's 100-point record, have some of the finest players across Europe right through the team and have a charismatic manager, the envy of their rivals.

But calls have grown louder from former players, notably Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness, that the quality away from the starting XI is not good enough. If Liverpool want to dominate then it has to change. That was the message.
