TEAM NEWS: Coutinho starts for Liverpool with Matip among substitutes

The influential forward makes his first Premier League appearance since last featuring in the 2-0 win over Sunderland last November

Philippe Coutinho is set to make his first Premier League start for Liverpool since last November when they take on Swansea City, while Joel Matip is restored to the squad after gaining clearance from FIFA.

The Brazilian ran out from the off in the FA Cup replay win at Plymouth Argyle in midweek after gaining minutes during the club’s previous two fixtures against Southampton and Manchester United to build his match fitness.

The 24-year-old’s presence in the starting XI will no doubt lift the Reds, who are also able to name Matip on the bench after world football's governing body ruled in his favour following a dispute with Cameroon.
