Sydney FC, Victory prioritise A-League over Asian Champions League

With a Big Blue A-League semi-final looming, both Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC have named depleted squads for their mid-week Asian Champions League clashes.

The Sky Blues face Ulsan Hyundai on Tuesday night in South Korea with Siem de Jong, Alex Brosque and Rhyan Grant all left behind in Australia.

Sydney's ACL campaign hangs in the balance with three draws and one loss leaving them bottom of Group H but just two points behind second-place Shanghai SIPG.

Victory's hopes of group progression are already over meanwhile with Kevin Muscat's side picking up just one point from their four matches.
