The FA are to add guidance to their protocol after scouts were left infuriated this weekend when they were not allowed into FA Cup matches — while the organisation itself allowed England analysis staff to attend.
Some scouts accused the governing body of being two-faced after they were denied entry. The FA, however, put it down to a breakdown in communication, saying they follow the same format as the Premier League and EFL and do allow a limited number of scouts to attend.
Following the row, they have decided to add detail to their protocol for subsequent rounds to provide clarity.
