Southampton 4-1 Brentford: Saints march up to 11th place with thumping win as Jan Bednarek, Armando Broja and Che Adams all net after Bees had equalised through Vitaly Janelt

Southampton jumped to 11th in the Premier League with a 4-1 victory over Brentford on Tuesday.

It took just five minuted for the Saints to lead as Jan Bednarek flicked James Ward Prowse's corner into goal. Vitaley Janelt's volley equalised for the visitors but goalkeeper Alvaro Fernandez's own goal handed Southampton the lead once again.

Southampton youngster Armando Broja provided his side some daylight as he slid it past the goalkeeper to give the hosts a two-goal advantage, before substitute Che Adams added a fourth on his return from a Covid-19 absence.
