Slaven Bilic has sat through hours of monthly meetings with West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady to prevent another outbreak of hooliganism that besmirched Chelsea’s last visit to the London Stadium.
The rival club’s clash in the EFL Cup back in October was the first major test of the stadium’s ability to host West Ham matches and it failed miserably.
Hundreds of supporters from either side hurled bottles, seats and coins at each other towards the end of the game. Seven people were arrested and West Ham pursued 200 individuals to ban them from the stadium.

On Monday night new measures developed from that match will be in place to stop trouble erupting again.
