Sky Sports presenter Adam Smith is a surprise frontrunner to replace Jeff Stelling on Soccer Saturday, according to reports.
Last week it was announced that experienced TV host Stelling will step down from his trademark role at the end of the season after more than 25 years with the broadcaster.
The Hartlepool fan was hailed as a 'consummate professional' by Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker after a long stint.
But Stelling will need to be replaced - and according to the Sun, Smith is the shock favourite to take over from the 68-year-old.
