Should Chelsea be worried about £53m Timo Werner? No goals in eight games and admitting he underestimated the Premier League means he needs to find his feet or face the chop by Frank Lampard

When Timo Werner played in the Bundesliga he'd have his feet up by now, luxuriating in German football's traditional month-long winter break over Christmas and deep into January.

Instead, the Chelsea striker faces the prospect of four matches in the next 13 days over the festive period, starting with the visit of London rivals West Ham on Monday night.

That will be Chelsea's sixth fixture of a hectic December and Werner has already been pretty honest about how the added demands of English football have affected him.
