When Timo Werner played in the Bundesliga he'd have his feet up by now, luxuriating in German football's traditional month-long winter break over Christmas and deep into January.
Instead, the Chelsea striker faces the prospect of four matches in the next 13 days over the festive period, starting with the visit of London rivals West Ham on Monday night.

It perhaps explains why the German's scoring touch has deserted him of late after what was a very promising start to life at Stamford Bridge.
