Scott Parker is sacked by Club Brugge after a dismal three-month spell in Belgium that saw him win just TWO of his 12 matches in charge - with a 5-1 thrashing by Benfica the final straw - as the club confirm his dismissal with an abrupt 52-word statement

Scott Parker has been sacked as head coach of Club Brugge, with Tuesday's heavy 5-1 defeat away at Benfica marking the end of his torrid three-month spell in Belgium.

Parker, who was dismissed by Premier League club Bournemouth back in August, was only hired by Brugge on December 31 following the exit of Carl Hoefkens.

Yet, in 12 matches at the helm the former England midfielder recorded just two victories, working out as a win rate of 17 per cent, before their Champions League thrashing at the hands of Benfica put the final nail in the coffin.
