Sachin Tendulkar confesses he had NEVER watched his son play until his historic Indian Premier League debut - and even then the cricket legend hid in the sheds to shield his boy from pressure

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has revealed that he had never watched his son Arjun bowl before his Indian Premier League debut for the Mumbai Indians.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of batting great Sachin, has made his much-anticipated debut for the Mumbai Indians on Sunday night, the same club his father played for 10 years ago.

Sachin, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time, played six seasons with Mumbai Indians before retiring from the sport in 2013.

While the name Tendulkar appearing on an Indian scoresheet once again was huge news in the subcontinent, the real shock was what came afterwards.
