Erling Haaland could leave Manchester City as early as 2024 if a foreign club stumps up the £175million required to trigger his release clause.
It emerged on Tuesday night that the clause can be activated just two years into his five-year contract by a club outside the Premier League. The news will interest Real Madrid, who went head-to-head with City to sign the striker from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
The Norway international, 22, is revered as the finest frontman in world football and has already hit 20 goals in 12 appearances since joining the Premier League champions in June.
