Steven Gerrard's high-flying Rangers remain well on course to win the Scottish Premiership title this season; an achievement which their manager says will help ease the pain of his own playing days with Liverpool.
Gerrard has guided Rangers to the summit of the Scottish Premiership with a 16-point cushion, albeit having currently played three more games than bitter rivals Celtic - who are going in search of 10 consecutive league titles.
Rangers are yet to experience domestic defeat this season, putting the club as favourites to win the league and end Celtic's period of prolonged dominance as a result.
