Ralf Rangnick admits Manchester United may have blown their best chance of winning a trophy this season after suffering a shock FA Cup defeat to Middlesbrough on penalties.
Friday's loss to the Championship club at Old Trafford leaves United with just the Champions League to play for as well as a top-four place in the Premier League, having slipped 19 points behind leaders Manchester City.
United face Atletico Madrid in the last 16 in Europe later this month, and Rangnick accepts that going out of the FA Cup was a bitter blow to the club's hope of landing its first silverware in five years.
