QPR 2-2 Everton (8-7 pens): Hoops pull off giant killing to dump Toffees OUT of the Carabao Cup in shootout to book fourth round spot after Rafa Benitez's men twice came from behind to cancel out Charlie Austin's double

Seny Dieng was the QPR hero as he kept out Tom Davies’ penalty to dump Everton out of the Carabao Cup.

While the Championship side scored all eight of their spot-kicks, Dieng pushed the 15th kick of a dramatic shoot-out against the post before Jimmy Dunne sealed Rangers’ first fourth round appearance since 2008-09.

Dieng had also saved from Ben Godfrey only for the officials to judge the keeper had stepped off his line, with the Everton man converting the re-take.

It followed an engrossing cup tie in which 32-year-old Charlie Austin showed his enduring class with two well-taken headers to twice give QPR the lead, only for first Lucas Digne and then Andros Townsend to equalise for the Premier League side.
