Psychologist Mitchell leaves Swansea

Swansea City have parted company with their full-time club psychologist Dr Ian Mitchell.

Mitchell, who was recruited into the new role in 2014 by then manager Garry Monk, left by "mutual consent."

His exit is not connected with new boss Bob Bradley's arrival as he left during Francesco Guidolin's reign, but his departure has only just emerged.

A former professional footballer and qualified coach, he will remain a part of Wales manager Chris Coleman's staff.

Mitchell is highly valued with the national side after his work during the Euro 2016 campaign when Wales reached the semi-final - their first international tournament for 58 years.
