Premier League 'will NOT scrap Black Lives Matter badges from players' shirts despite backlash over political activism of organisation's UK arm'... as top flight opt not to follow in footsteps of Sky Sports pundits in ditching slogan

The Premier League will not remove Black Lives Matter badges from players' shirts despite a backlash against the UK arm of the organisation, according to reports.

The top flight have thrown their weight behind the anti-racism movement since the restart, with players taking a knee before every match, replacing their names with 'Black Lives Matter' on their shirts and wearing a logo on their sleeves.

The last 48 hours has seen a number of high-profile figures distance themselves from the political activism of the UK branch of the organisation though, but it is understood the Premier League will continue supporting the cause.
