Premier League star 'faced court action over a £25,000 dental bill with debt collectors called after he refused to pay for treatment that he thought he was getting for free'

A Premier League footballer was reportedly chased by debt collectors after refusing to pay for a £25,000 set of dental veneers.

The player is said to have undergone the treatment at a clinic on London's Harley Street.

Veneers are custom-made porcelain shells that fit over the front surfaces of your teeth in order to improve their appearance.

It is believed that the well-known star was under the impression that he would be receiving them for free due to his profile.

However, this was not the case and he proceeded to ignore requests for him to pay up.
