Premier League signs a new six-year US TV rights deal with NBC after the network beat off competition from CBS and ESPN to land the contract 'worth more than $2BILLION' - doubling the top flight's income Stateside

The Premier League has announced it has signed a new six-year deal with NBC to show top-flight football in the US, which is believed to be worth more than $2billion.

The deal is understood to be over double the $1billion fee NBC paid for Premier League TV rights in 2015, meaning it is the biggest ever overseas TV deal in the history of the English top-flight.

Comcast's NBC have now beaten off competitions from ViacomCBS and Disney's ESPN to the rights and will now show 380 live matches every season.

The Times claim that the historic US TV deal is over the $2billion mark, with Premier League chief executive Richard Masters hailing the dedication of both the US channel and supporters of the Premier League in America.
