Premier League 'considering introducing a human rights element to their owners' and directors' test'

The Premier League are considering introducing a human rights component to their owners' and directors' test, according to reports, with the top-flight looking to carry out a wide-ranging review into their regulation.

It was revealed last October that the Premier League would meet with Amnesty International, and two meetings between the organisations have since been held with pressure building to improve and expand the test.

The Guardian have claimed that league officials have looked to play down the significance of their review, and they have instead revealed it is 'normal practice' and that human rights were one of several factors under examination.
