Premier League clubs will ask for the transfer window to open immediately after the end of this season. But that is raising concerns among teams that will still be in action that their players will be unsettled at a crucial time.
At Thursday's shareholders meeting, top-flight clubs will discuss the issue, with a window date of July 27 to October 5 or 6 popular among teams. UEFA have recommended all European leagues shut their transfer windows on October 5.
The Premier League campaign is due to finish on the weekend of July 25-26.
