The Premier League are closing in on a big-money deal with Electronic Arts for the game developers to be kept on as the English top-flight's lead partner and sole video-game license holder, according to reports.

As per Sky News, the game developers responsible for the smash hit series FIFA are close to agreeing one of the biggest such deals in the history of the Premier League.

The report claims that a deal worth £488million is being finalised, which is set to last for six years.

The 20 clubs in the Premier League were briefed on the progress of the deal in a meeting on Friday, according to Sky News.
