Police smash down doors and arrest 10 Manchester United fans in dawn raids over violent Old Trafford protests in May, which saw a game against Liverpool postponed and officers injured by thrown flares, bottles and barriers

Greater Manchester Police have revealed the arrests of 10 people in connection to the violent protests which took place at Old Trafford back in May.

Manchester United's clash against rivals Liverpool on May 2 was postponed after hundreds of fans invaded the pitch and clashed with police outside the stadium in ugly scenes which saw one officer attacked with a bottle and his face slashed.

The protest was against United's owners, the Glazer family, shortly after the collapse of the European Super League project in which the American billionaires were architects.
