Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper insists 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion was a step in the right direction.
Forest climbed off the foot of the league table by moving a point and a place above East Midlands rivals Leicester City after doggedly digging in to claim only a sixth point of a difficult campaign to date.
Cooper did, however, admit the result should not please them as he seeks further improvements to climb up the Premier League table.
'It was always going to be a tough game tonight,' Cooper told the media post-match.
