Newcastle midfielder Joe White is set to join Exeter City on loan until the end of the season, Sportsmail understands.
The 20-year-old signed a new three-year contract in March and is well thought of within St James’ Park.
After a previous loan spell at League Two Hartlepool last season, it is hoped that four months with the League One Grecians will aid his development.
White is yet to make his competitive debut for Newcastle - he has been an unused substitute on several occasions - but has featured in friendly matches, including in Saudi Arabia last month.
