Newcastle have completed the loan signing of Chelsea defender Lewis Hall for the rest of the season, the club have confirmed.
The young full back, regarded as one of the Premier League's most promising talents, is likely to join permanently at the end of the campaign with the deal including an obligation to buy depending on performance-related criteria.
The fee, as reported by Mail Sport, will be £28million plus add-ons.
Hall is Newcastle's fifth signing of the summer and has been handed the No 20 shirt.
He made 12 senior appearances at Stamford Bridge, including two starts against Newcastle last season, but was allowed to move on in search of more game time.
