Newcastle boss Steve Bruce reveals he's had DEATH THREATS from some supporters following their 11-match run without a win as he describes abuse received by referee Mike Dean as 'obscene'

Steve Bruce has revealed he has been subjected to death threats during his time in charge of Newcastle.

The Magpies manager, who is not on social media himself, says his family have told him about some of the ‘vile and obscene’ abuse he has suffered online, including one user wishing him dead from Covid.

Bruce’s revelation comes in the same week that referee Mike Dean notified the police of death threats he and his family received on social media following two recent red card incidents.

The 60-year-old said: ‘The abuse I've had, death threats and all this sort of stuff.
