New Zealand expect captain Kane Williamson to lead the World Test champions out at Lord's in a fortnight despite the 'fab four' bat returning home for the birth of his second child on Tuesday

New Zealand expect captain Kane Williamson to lead the world champions in the first Test at Lord's in a fortnight despite his return to New Zealand for the birth of his second child on Tuesday.

Williamson, 31, who also leads Sunrisers Hyderabad, left the Indian Premier League with one regular league fixture remaining and qualification for the knockout stages hanging in the balance, to be with wife Sarah.

The New Zealanders have begun their tour here without him, as well as a clutch of other IPL participants, but hope to have them all here in advance of the first match of a three-Test series on June 2.
