Mason Mount will be relieved. He's no longer the 'manager's son' at Chelsea, according to the Twittersphere, after Frank Lampard was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
It has been a frequent accusation that Mount was only in the Chelsea team because Lampard saw echoes of himself in the 22-year-old England midfielder, even though he is clearly an excellent player there on merit without having to be favoured by his boss.
But as soon as pictures emerged of new manager Tuchel standing next to Christian Pulisic during his first training session on Tuesday, the nickname 'Tuchel's son' was doing the rounds on the fan accounts.
