Mohamed Salah 'wants move to a Premier League RIVAL next year if he can't agree a new Liverpool contract', with a 'VAST disparity' halting talks as he asks to be the world's sixth-highest paid player

Mohamed Salah could make a sensational move to one of Liverpool's rivals as he reportedly wants to remain in the Premier League even if he cannot agree a new deal at the club.

Salah has committed to Jurgen Klopp's side for the 2022-23 campaign but the Egyptian forward's future beyond that date is uncertain.

According to The Athletic, the 29-year-old would rather remain in the Premier League than move overseas when his deal at Anfield expires - putting Liverpool's rivals on red alert.

Salah has been in talks with Liverpool for more than 12 months about extending the terms of his current contract but has yet to sign a new deal.
