Mikel Arteta claims Arsenal's biggest plus in turbulent season was 'keeping everybody together' when inside forces were trying to undermine his work... before admitting he wants to lift fans' spirits by finishing above rivals Tottenham

Mikel Arteta has claimed Arsenal's greatest success this season has been to avoid falling apart when forces inside the club were trying to undermine his work.

He did not name names but Arteta hinted firmly at exiled senior players, including Mesut Ozil, by confirming those he considered responsible were no longer in situ.

'The best thing has been to keep a team, a staff, employees and everybody together,' said the Arsenal boss.
