Mikel Arteta admits Arsenal’s recent form has 'taken the gloss off' his first year in charge and results have 'not been good enough for this football club’ as he looks to get his side back to winning ways against Everton

Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that Arsenal's recent Premier League form has taken the gloss off his first 12 months in charge and has 'not been good enough for this football club.'

Sunday marks the one-year anniversary since Arteta's appointment as Unai Emery's permanent successor.

The day after his return was confirmed, Arteta was in the stands for Arsenal's 0-0 draw at his former club Everton and they return to Goodison Park tomorrow 15th in the table, having lost seven of their 13 league games this season including four of their last five at home.
