McClaren bullish on QPR revival following horror-show start

The former England manager has lost four from four in the Championship so far this season, but believes he can still turn the fortunes around

Queens Park Rangers manager Steve McClaren remains adamant that he is the right man for the job, despite the club’s dire start to the new Championship season.

Appointed in May, the 57-year-old has lost all four league matches played in the 2018-19 campaign so far, including a humiliating 7-1 thrashing at the hands of West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Having overseen a latest defeat on Tuesday as QPR slumped to a 3-0 loss at home to Bristol City though, the former England manager was bullish on the prospects of reviving his side’s flagging fortunes.
