Matt Le Tissier enjoys cup of tea in an Ali Dia mug as Southampton legend jokes 'No matter how bad you're feeling, I got subbed by this bloke'

Matt Le Tissier has done his best to try and cheer people up who are having a dire Monday morning by making a joke about famously getting substituted by Ali Dia when at Southampton.

Le Tissier took to Twitter to post a photo of his mug of tea, captioning the post: 'Morning! No matter how bad you're feeling this Monday I once got subbed for this bloke!'

If you remember correctly, the ex-Southampton star was forced off with a calf injury early on in a match against Leeds back in 1996, and the then Saints manager Graeme Souness decided to replace him with Dia, who claimed to be George Weah's cousin.
