Mason Mount's £60m Manchester United move 'questioned by a team-mate for NOT being for football reasons', claims a report - with midfielder 'sensitive about his Chelsea departure' after 18 years at the club

Mason Mount's move to Manchester United hasn't gone to plan for either party so far, and according to a report the deal was not for 'football reasons'.

Mount swapped Chelsea for United in a £60million transfer last summer after protracted talks to extend his stay in west London failed to materialise.

The England international was highly-sought after with Arsenal and Liverpool among his suitors before opting for United on a five-year £250,000-a-week contract with the option of another year.

The 25-year-old was Erik ten Hag's first signing of last summer but has played a bit-part role after several injury setbacks have restricted him to just 12 appearances in all competitions - with his last one coming against Luton in November before he was injured in training.
