Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been beaten to a list of Armenia's top 10 sporting stars of 2016 by three Greco-Roman wrestlers, five weightlifters and a couple of gymnasts.
The Manchester United footballer, who scored with an outrageous scorpion kick in his side's 3-1 victory over Sunderland on Boxing Day, was no selected in the list put together by journalists from his homeland.
The Federation of Sports Journalists of Armenia voted for their 10 'best' athletes of the calendar year, with Olympic champion wrestler Artur Aleksanyan coming out on top.
But Mkhitaryan, who cost United £26million when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund in the summer and was included in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for 2015-16 when it was announced in June, did not even challenge for a place on the podium.
