Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira has joined Championship side Huddersfield on a season-long loan deal.
The 24-year-old would struggle for game time at Old Trafford as he is behind David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Lee Grant in the pecking order. Dean Henderson’s return from his loan spell at Sheffield United also meant the goalkeeper would struggle for any kind of first-team involvement this term.
Pereira, who has made three competitive appearances for the first team, has had various loan spells over the past two seasons with Vitoria Setubal, Belgian side Kortrijk and Scottish Premier League side Hearts.
