Man United fans accuse the Glazer's of holding the club 'hostage' and decry prolonged takeover saga amid continued interest from Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe

The Glazer family have been accused of holding Manchester United 'hostage' amid the protracted takeover saga.

United's controversial American owners announced last November that they would consider selling the club after 18 years in charge at Old Trafford.

Negotiations are still taking place with 'multiple parties', with Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe the frontrunners, but there had been concerns the process might be paused to allow the Glazers to reassess their options.

Such fears are prominent among United fans, who are desperate for the family to sell and leave the club.
