Man City new boy Aymeric Laporte leaves hotel as he waits to learn if he will make debut against West Brom

Manchester City's £57million record signing Aymeric Laporte was pictured leaving the Radisson Blu Hotel on Wednesday as he prepared to make his debut.

Laporte was dressed in casual attire as he prepared to link up with his new colleagues ahead of a team meeting ahead of their upcoming showdown with West Brom.

The 23-year-old completed his move from Athletic Bilbao on a five-and-a-half-year contract on Tuesday, and could be in the squad to face West Brom at the Etihad after his paperwork was processed in time.

He is unlikely to start so soon after joining Pep Guardiola's side, but the uncapped defender has set his sights on winning a place in France's squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
