French side Lyon have made a late attempt to hijack Wolves' move for Flamengo star Joao Gomes, according to reports.
The Premier League outfit believed that a deal was close to completion, after Sportsmail revealed the club had struck a £15million transfer for the midfielder.
However, following last minute interest from the Ligue 1 team, the Brazilian side have been reluctant to conclude a deal until they have sounded out Lyon's offer.
