Luke Shaw likely to miss the rest of Manchester United's season after surgery to remove metal bolts put in his leg after horror break suffered in 2015 with Ralf Rangnick also without four other players for Norwich game

Luke Shaw will be out of action for up to five weeks and is unlikely to play again this season, Manchester United's interim manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed.

Shaw has had surgery to remove metal bolts from his right leg that were inserted after he suffered a horrific double fracture in a Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven in September 2015.

The England defender was initially expected to be out for three weeks, but Rangnick revealed that it could be up to five weeks meaning that Shaw's season could be over.
