Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren to reveal his life as a refugee during the Bosnian War in new documentary

Dejan Lovren is to open up about how his family were affected by the Bosnian War, against the advice of his mother, in a new LFCTV documentary.

The centre back, who cost £20million from Southampton in 2014, was barely out of nappies when the conflict broke out in the early 1990s.

Born in the former Yugoslavia, Lovren was three years old when war erupted and he and his loved ones were forced to leave their homes and flee to Germany.

In the film 'Lovren: My Life As A Refugee', the defender will share his experiences - even though his mum Silva warned him against discussing the past.
