Liverpool 0-0 Southampton: Fraser Forster saves James Milner's penalty as Reds miss chance to take control of top four future in drab affair at Anfield

Fraser Forster was the pantomime villain at Anfield as he saved James Milner's penalty to secure a point for Southampton against Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side went into the game knowing that three points would keep them on track for a top-four finish, but the door is now left open for Manchester City and Manchester United behind them.

It was a drab and dreary first half, before the game was carved open when Bobby Madley pointed to the spot. Milner stepped up looking to make it eight goals from eight penalties this season, but he was unable to convert.
